Samsung’s Touchscreen Papyrus E-book Reader
Samsung’s Papyrus is a great new e-book reader and it is a touch screen model to make things better. At A5 paper size, this handy reader has many features like a stylus and 512MB of memory. The color options it offers are white, black, and a retro sea green amongst others. It’s great that it has a bunch of applications bundled like a memo pad, scheduler, calendar, world clock, calculator, and contact list. It will be hitting the Korean market first this summer, followed by a later release in the UK and the U.S. Samsung’s Papyrus’ expected price is somewhere around $300. When stacking it up against the Amazon Kindle and Sony PRS-700 readers, I’m curious if it will have a decent store with a large ebook collection.The e-book reader is set to hit shelves in Korea this summer and will launch at a later date in the UK and U.S. Pricing has yet to be confirmed, but is expected to be $299—about $60 cheaper than the Kindle and $100 cheaper than Sony’s model.
