Solar Powered car in the world

October 27th, 2009
Car is tiny, power source is very large

This is the world’s smallest solar powered car. The tiny solar panel powers and electric motor which turns the wheels. It measures a mere 3.3cm x 2.2cm x 1.4cm.The world’s smallest solar powered car – it zooms along when the sun shines on the solar panel. No batteries – it gets its power just from the sun. No assembly required. Measures a tiny 3.3 x 2.2 x 1.4 cm. When the sun shines on the solar panel, the panel makes electricity that turns the motor and the wheels. A fun demonstration of solar power. Will also work when close to a strong artificial light source. Not for children under 3 years old, due to small parts.

Solar cars are, unfortunately, still in the research and development phase, although we saw one recently that drove from Texas to New York in 5 days. Despite being impressive, it’ll likely be years before we have one sitting in the driveway, charging. Until then this working miniature model will have to keep us entertained.

Tok Tak Plug Plays Music – Amazing Gadgets

This MP3 player is so small that people might think you are crazy when they see you jamming to headphones that don’t appear to be plugged into anything. The Tok Tak is certainly one of the most basic and smallest MP3 player concepts we’ve seen. The entire device looks like a standard audio jack, in fact that’s pretty much what it is. The plug dangles from your earphones when used on the go. People might mistake you for crazy walking around with what looks like earbuds attached to nothing but they’d be wrong. The Tok Tak also comes with a base station in which you can plug it in to recharge, upload new music, and act as a joystic controller to listen to your turns externally.
